How long should i abstain from unprotected before a pelvic exam?

i keep trying to call my dr's office but its busy everytime.i just pee'd on an opk and im positive but i have an appointment tomorrow at 4pm.do u think its okay to BD tonite and maybe tomorrow morning?or will that affect the pap results.i really hate to miss out on this months chance...let me know what u think.thanks!!!
