If the Scientific method cannot be used to "Prove" historical events...?

I'm not sure what you mean by using the scientific method to prove historical events. There is quite a lot of verifiable evidence for evolution. As for the Biblical creation story being true there are many holy texts purporting to reveal creation stories other then that one. Also, its not claimed to be an eye witnessed event even. Men claim that they received a divine revelation from god inspiring them to write what they did. There are many figures who make such claims that you probably don't just accept out there.
