This guy I like... What do I do!?

I have admired this guy since 5th grade. He has a good personality, he's funny, smart, cute, everything! I usually tell my friends about my crushes but unlike others that start strong and fade, this one has been constant and steady. I haven't even told my BF that I like him. I am now in 10th grade. I said happy birthday on Facebook and noticed that we have very similar likes in movies.I sat near him in Drivers Ed. and we kept glancing at each other and then quickly looking away. He is in 2 of my cles. We've never really been friends but I would like to become friends and get to know him better. Why was making friends easier in kindergarden? What should I do? Should I talk to him and risk humiliation, ask his friends about him, ask my friends, or just continue to nothing. What if he thinks I'm wierd or ugly. Geez, I'm so confident about everything BUT this... I'm scared of screwing up.
