Why do so many people blindly adhere to the party rhetoric?

I gave myself my name on here due to being called it multiple times for disagreeing with Obama, agreeing with the 2nd amendment, not agreeing with gay marriage, and being against abortion. I am by no means the Bush lover that I am instantly accused of being the second anyone hears I don't like and didn't vote for Obama. I can see both sides of the fence, I just choose to be more on the right side. I don't claim either party is %100 right or wrong. I think liberals are retards and won't hesitate to say so, but I'll also say I think Bush was an idiot also.
