Why do so many people declare that the ousting of the President of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, is illegal?

I gotta say I agree with you. I tried to hold judgment on this matter until I got both sides of the story and I increasingly see myself leaning in favor of the coup. It seems like Zelaya was attempting to do something similar to our old buddy Hugo Chavez and change the constitution so that his re-election would be possible. Apparently the Supreme Court ruled the referendum was unconstitutional and then this happened. I find my self thinking, if I wouldn't mind this happening to Hugo Chavez; then why should I mind it happening to Zelaya.
